There's a fantastic range of activities taking placae at National Glass Centre this summer, including:

Paint a Glass Postcard

Take inspiration from the local area to design and use colourful paint pens to create a glass postcard

Friday 28 July & 18 August / 10.30 to 16.00 / Age 4+/ £4 / Drop-in

 

Glass Collage

Participate in a tour of the current exhibition and take inspiration from the artists’ work.
Create your own striking collage and trap it between layers of glass to create a unique glass decoration.

Monday 24 July & 14 August / Sessions at 13.30 and 15.30 / Duration 1.5 hours / Age 6+ / £10 / Booking essential

 

Summer Sandcast - Car, Owl or Butterfly

Create a glass shape using sand to make a mould.

Monday 14, 21 & 28 August / Thursday 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31 August / 9.30 – 10.30 / 10.30 – 11.30 / £15 each / Min age 6

Add your own colour and decoration to make your design unique. Watch as your design is transformed by our studio team who will pour molten glass into your mould to produce your own individual piece of art.

Craft clay badges and pendants using air dry clay and an array of decorative materials.

Geometric Glass Painting

Create your own brightly coloured glass painting in a geometric design

Decorative Fused Glass

Make an amazing glass mosaic using glass tiles and grains of glass on a special water-jet cut glass shape which will be fired in our kilns. Choose from a range of different shapes and turn it into a work of art!

Fused Glass Postcards

Create a beautiful scene in glass using coloured glass tiles and powder. Take inspiration from the local area to design and make a glass postcard memento. Use coloured glass tiles and grains of glass to create a unique fused glass artwork

Stained Glass Sun Catchers

Brighten up your home with a painted stained glass effect decoration, take it home and hang it up in your window.
