Plays in the Park, George and the Dragon

The people of England have long feared the stories of a terrible, fearsome dragon, but before they can be rid of that, our hero George has the small matter of the Rampaging Raven and the Mighty Magnetron to deal with.

Grab your sword and join us on a fantastical, daring and noble quest. Into a world of mythical beasts, feisty princesses and the odd fire-breathing dragon thrown in for good measure, in this specially created family adventure which puts you right in the heart of the action.

Asunder, the story of Sunderland during the First World War

To mark the anniversary of the Battle of the Somme, Sunderland Cultural Partnership and 1418 Now have come together to create Asunder – one of the North East’s most significant commemorations of the WW1 Centenary.

In 1916 the North East was in the front line, thanks to its shipyards and munitions factories. Asunder will tell the story of what happened to a typical British town during the First World War, with virtually all of its men abroad fighting and all of its women and children left behind.
