National Trust Christmas Past at Washington Old Hall

National Trust Christmas Past at Washington Old Hall
Saturday, December 10, 2016 to Saturday, December 24, 2016

Cozy up with us this winter and find out how our past residents celebrated Christmas. It's a tale of mixed fortunes.

Find out what the festive table looked like in the 1600s and what was in a First World War food parcel. Sing along with our choirs and try your hand at making a willow decoration to take home. Venture through the enchanted winter parterre to enjoy a well earned treat in our tearoom. For the first time in 2016 we welcome the Green Man, King of Winter.

He is coming out of the woods for 3 special days on 18th, 21st and 24th December from 12.30 to 6.30pm. Meet him in our indoor woodland grotto and tell him what you wish for the future.

Booking essential for grotto visit. Cost is £5 per child including gift.
