Naval Heroes

Saturday, June 2, 2018 to Sunday, July 22, 2018

This exhibition of Britain's naval heroes includes a famous portrait of Admiral Lord Nelson, on loan from the National Portrait Gallery in London. It also features paintings of sea battles and various related items, including a night telescope believed to have been used by Nelson's second-in-command at the Battle of Trafalgar.

Naval Heroes is being hosted to coincide with the Tall Ships Race coming to Sunderland in July.
