The Royal Photographic Society comes to Arts Centre Washington
One hundred images picked from 3,300 go to make what is surely one of the best exhibitions of photography in the UK - and it is currently on display at Arts Centre Washington.
The Royal Photographic Society, which was founded in 1853, is open to anyone with an interest in photography and has a global membership that includes both professional and amateur photographers.
Submissions to the Royal Photographic Society's Biennial Members' Print Exhibition 2015 was open to all its members and from such a broad spectrum of contributors comes a broad spectrum of some of the very finest photography.
The one hundred images in the exhibition have been submitted by photographers from sixteen different countries including South America, the USA, Europe and China.
The award winning entries are from Steve Jones LRPS, Marc Aspland FRPS and Boguslaw Maslak - and they do not disappoint. The rest of the images picked for the exhibition run the first three a very close fourth with incredibly high standards over a great variety of photographic styles and themes.
The exhibition will prove to be a great inspiration to photographers everywhere but with its broad range of subject matter will also prove to be a great source of enjoyment to everyone.
A preview evening of the exhibition will take place on Thursday 25 June from 6pm to 8pm. All are welcome.
