What's on this Christmas in Sunderland

It's December, Christmas is almost upon us and the kids will soon be off school for 2 whole weeks!  The question 'whats on and where can we go' is in the air.

Sunderland has plenty of things to see and do to keep the kids occupied. From family activities, including, ‘Meet the Green Man’ and ‘Illuminated Gardens’ at Washington Old Hall to sitting back and being entertained at the Sunderland Empire Theatre with the swashbuckling ‘Peter Pan’, to getting hands on with craft making with ‘Festive paper baubles’ and 'Festive paper wreaths' at Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens. Of course if the weather outside isn't frightful you could always get your skates on at the Keel square ice rink or get out and about in our beautiful parks and fabulous sea front to walk off the excesses of the festive season!

Below are just some of the events and activities on this Christmas and you can find more in 'What's on'.

Meet the Green Man at Washington Old Hall
Illuminated Gardens at Washington Old Hall
Swashbuckling pantomine fun with Peter Pan at the Sunderland Empire Theatre
Family crafts making festive paper wreaths and paper baubles at Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens
The Mayors Civic Christmas Carol service at Sunderland Minster
Reindeer Dash 2018 at the Bridges shopping centre

For the grown ups there's 'Winter Gardens Market: Perfect gifts', 'Winter Gardens Market: Unusual presents', 'Winter Gardens Market: clothing, jewellery and accessories', 'Winter Gardens Market: food gifts and gifts for foodies'  and 'Hadrians tipi'
