Sunderland Sail Training Ambassador Programme

The Sunderland Sail Training Ambassador Programme has been conceived to reach out to local young people from all walks of life, encouraging them to get aboard the ships and take part in the 2018 Races.

Young people from Sunderland will participate in a two year programme of activity ranging from international voyages, cultural experiences and educational personal development pursuits.

Many of the Ambassadors are sponsored by local organisations, in supporting a young person on the programme the sponsor provides their Ambassador with a once in a lifetime opportunity to embark on a steady stream of experiences to share with others and to promote the opportunities available, encouraging participation in sail training as an activity and The Tall Ships Races 2018 in Sunderland.
