Active Sunderland BIG Bike Ride

The Active Sunderland BIG Bike Ride will once again start and finish at St. Peter's Riverside near Sunderland University

The 20 and 35 mile rides offer a fantastic variety cycling on mainly off road paths utilising Sunderland's expansive cycle path network and visiting many areas across the city suitable for ages 15 and over.

Entry is only £10 and includes an Active Sunderland branded backpack and goody bag.

Active Sunderland BIG 3 in 1

The Active Sunderland 3 in 1 is a new event for 2017 and will incorporate a fun run, bike ride and walk all at one venue

It is designed for younger people and families and gives them the opportunity to have a go at one, two or all three of the BIG Event activities all in one day.

Take part in a 3k bike ride, 2k walk and 1.5k run suitable for children and families all from Herrington Country Park.

Entry is only £10.00 per person and includes an Active Sunderland t-shirt and goody bag.

Sunderland Steam Spectacular 2015

The hugely popular Sunderland Steam Spectacular will return to Herrington Country Park on Sunday 3 May and Monday 4 May.

Featuring a wealth of vehicle displays, activities, gundog displays, birds of prey and much much more. This event is being brought to the city by Sunderland Live in partnership with The Event Organiser Ltd who are responsible for the highly successful Pickering Traction Engine Rally.

The event will also feature a children's corner, trade stands, Falconry displays and much much more.
