Teachers can make self-led visits with their class. There are free downloadable learning resources to support self-led visits. We recommend teachers make a pre-visit and book their coat and bag storage and packed lunch spaces in advance
Drop-offs and parking
The Museum has no parking. There is an extended bus stop on Burdon Road beside the Museum entrance for drop offs. The postcode is SR1 1PP. Minibus pay and display parking is on Tatham Street, a 5 minute walk from the Museum entrance.
Schools visiting the Museum & Winter Gardens can book facilitated learning sessions linked to our collections and the national curriculum. These are charged at £50 for up to an hour and £75 for up to 2 hours. Learning sessions must be pre-booked. Contact Jennie or Marie on 0191 5612323.
