Public Lecture: Creative Industries - The Future by Lord David Puttnam

Tuesday, June 18, 2019

Lord David Puttnam, Oscar-winning film producer and peer, explores the opportunities and threats opening up in what’s now the fastest-growing sector of the UK economy. Lord Puttnam, one of the most influential figures in world cinema, looks at the way technology is driving new models of film, TV and on-line content and suggests ways in which out-of-London production can benefit from the current boom. He also warns of some of the risks including the rise of Fake News and digital piracy. The illustrated lecture will be followed by a question and answer session with the audience.
