Summer fun at Washington Old Hall

Join us every day from 11am to 3pm during the summer holidays for wild family fun. Alongside playing games on the top lawn, relaxing in the gardens or exploring the nuttery, there are lots of activities to get stuck in to. Here is a round-up of what's on at Washington Old Hall and when.

22-28 July - Get to know a tree

How well do you know the trees at Washington Old Hall? Can you find the tallest tree at Washington Old Hall? Or wrap your arms round one? How about listening to the sound if the leaves blowing in the wind? Get to know a tree better this summer.

29-04 August - Create some wild art

With so many natural materials to be found in the garden and nuttery, the opportunities to create wild art are endless. From building daisy chains to nature looms and lots more. Let your imagination run wild.

05-11 August - Help a wild animal

Learn all about the materials that are perfect for building bugs a comfy, five star hotel and what insects it will attract. Use the best branches to build a den and even a wildlife stack.

12-18 August - Make friends with a bug

Here in the nuttery is a little pond, it's a haven for wildlife and this week you can find out what's living there, hunt for bugs and learn all about nature.

19-25 August - Have fun with sticks

Go on a treasure hunt with a difference and find the best sticks to create different items every day. It could be a stick trail, a dreamcatcher or even a crown. 

26 – 01 September - Create some wild art

With so many natural materials to be found in the garden and nuttery, the opportunities to create wild art are endless. From building daisy chains to nature looms and lots more. Let your imagination run wild.
