Sunderland Airshow 2019 26/07/2019 to 28/07/2019

On the ground

Bede’s Cross

Bede’s Cross is the home of our Military Village hosting exhibitions and interactive activity from The British Army and Royal Navy (The RAF are just next door on Cliffe Park).  British Army exhibits include a Gazelle Helicopter, Climbing wall and a paintball range. Pop in for an ice cream and discover more about military life.

Cliffe Park

At the very centre of our event site you will find our main stage area, which will host live music throughout the weekend, as well as food vendors and bars.  You will find the Royal Air Force located here and you can take advantage of our viewing area, where you can sit on our outdoor seating and relax whilst watching the flying displays or the stage performances.  The Take Off Enclosure located near the white lighthouse is a paid area where guests can enjoy an upgraded experience.  If you would like more information, please visit the Take Off Enclosure page on this site.

Recreation Park

This area is home to some of our trade and exhibition stalls, and for the first time this year it will play host to a big top marquee programmed with family activity throughout the weekend. Activities will include slime making sessions, craft activities, interactive shows and meet and greet sessions featuring superheroes and princesses. The fabulous FAB experience, simulators and a zipwire will also be part of the action. Pop in to shop, eat and be entertained.

You will find promotional exhibitors including Cooper Mini Sunderland along the seafront and a viewing screen, so you don’t miss any of the entertainment from the stage.

Marine Walk

This area has great views of the flying display programme. Drop in to one of the many local businesses before visiting the face painters at Holy Rock Corner. A bubbleologist will be located at Holy Rock Corner on Saturday 27 July- come along and see a display of awesome bubbles.
