Wetland explorers

Saturday, July 20, 2019 to Monday, September 2, 2019

There’s loads of exciting wetland challenges waiting for you this summer!

Pick up a trail map and set off into the wild to see how many cool creatures and awesome animals you can spot following the challenges and activities as you go – don’t forget to visit our cheeky otters and flamboyant flamingos during daily talks too (11.30am/11.45am and 2.30pm/2.45pm)!

Plus, head to our exciting Wetland Headquarters (1pm - 2.30pm daily) for our activity of the day where you'll investigate animal tracks with our keen reserve team. Or pick up a net and try your hand at pond dipping at our Pondzone searching for great diving beetles, water boatman or water snails guided by our fantastic education team. With den building, mini-beast hunting, compass navigating and more, there's something for everyone to enjoy!

Monday - Mini-beast hunt (Hollowood)

Tuesday - Animal tracks (Hollowood)

Wednesday - Compass and navigation (Event lawn)

Thursday - Nesting challenge (Event lawn)

Friday - Pond dipping (Pondzone)

Saturday - Den building (North Wood)
